☀︎. Medicine Ceremony

In a ceremony, we will work with a range of plants that fall into three categories, heart, body and spirit. The heart medicines are derived from flowers and trees that originate from Asia, Africa and North America. The body plants are flower medicines from plants largely found also in Asia. Spirit plants come from fungi found in North and South America. The ceremony is conducted in a safe container with the facilitator and two trained assistants to hold space and support the group of individuals working with the plants.  Each individual experience is an inward experience with the eyes covered to encourage each person to go inward and follow the wisdom of the plant.  Each person is encouraged to stay down and work with all emotions and experiences that arise during the ceremony. This is facilitated by encouraging each individual to use mindfulness techniques to be aware and curious and to turn toward or surrender to what arises during the entire journey experience. 

Throughout the evening a combination of sound healing from and sacred ceremony music will be used to assist the journeyer navigate the plant medicine experiences.read more here.

What is not included.

This retreat does not include airfare or transport to/from retreat center, but we can help you find the best options, (just ask!) Other activities such as paddle boarding, jungle tours, horseback riding, etc are an additional cost.

Accommodations.

Glamping Tent • sold out

Each Platform Tent has a queen-sized regular mattress.The Tents are surrounded by nature and close to a shared bathhouse. All linen, pillows, and towels are provided to guests. There is a fan in the tent and space for your belongings.

Eco Cottage • sold out

The Eco-cottages are beautifully situated in lush vegetation, allowing for a sensual being-in-touch experience with nature. Each Cottage sleeps two people and has a private bathroom with ambient temperature water shower. The Eco-Cottages are situated below the Main Building and involves a few minute short hike up a stone stairway to get to the Main Building. (two twin beds)

Hermitage Twin • sold out

The Hermitage Rooms are located in the main building. The rooms feature a little desk, full en suite bathroom with solar hot water, air conditioning, and overhead fan. This room has Two Twin Beds only.

Nature Suite • one available

Mountain View • sold out

The Mountain Room double has a step-out balcony and large windows with an extraordinary mountain view to take in the true sound healing in Costa Rica. The room is tastefully furnished and provides the perfect space for one or two people. It has a king-sized bed or two twins with a private bathroom with solar hot water and air conditioning. These rooms have a safety box large enough to fit a 17″ laptop computer.

Ocean View• sold out

The Ocean View rooms have step-out balconies and SOME have beautiful ocean views. The rooms are tastefully furnished and provide the perfect space for one or two people. Each room has a king-sized bed or two twins, with a full en suite bathroom with solar hot water, air conditioning, and overhead fan.

Superior Ocean View • sold out

This beautiful Superior Ocean View room is one of a kind… all window ocean views and a step-out balcony.The room is elegantly furnished to provide the most luxurious space for couples or singles.It has a king-sized bed, a private bathroom with solar hot water, air conditioning, and an overhead fan.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All deposits and payments are non-refundable (unless you find a replacement, in which case the payment will be refunded less the first $500) Unexpected events do occur, so please consider purchasing travel insurance. It is your responsibility to read and understand our cancellation policies. Exceptions cannot be made for any reason, including weather, injury/illness, or personal emergencies. No refunds or credits for failure to attend or failure to complete the retreat, or for arriving late or leaving early. We reserve the right to cancel retreats with inadequate participant interest, in which case all money paid will be refunded. Notification of cancellation will occur at least 2 months prior to retreat start date. Sarah cannot be held responsible for any personal expenses, such as airline tickets due to changes in itineraries or retreat cancellations.Please also consider: all itineraries are subject to change due to weather, excursions and delays.

INSURANCE & LIABILITY

Please make sure that you have all necessary insurances in place before the trip (including but not limited to travelers insurance, health insurance etc). All yoga, mindfulness sessions and travelling are done at your own risk and we are free from all liability.. Please purchase travel insurance to protect your health and well being as well as your investment, from unforeseen circumstances before or during your retreat. We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance at the time you book your retreat. Suggested companies include: World Nomads, AAA, or ask your travel agent.
